ACADEMY CHRISTIAN CHURCH and FAME REACH BURMESE REFUGEES

This January, a large group from the Academy Christian Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado led by a leadership team from FAME, will be guided in Thailand by 18 ACS Asian teammates.  They will be near the Myanmar border and will be reaching out to refugees who have escaped the war terror in their villages in Burma. Most refugees crossed the border with only what they could carry. The mission group will serve in several locations where refugees have gathered but will also enter a United Nation’s sponsored camp.  Most refugees are from the “Burman tribe” who are devout Buddhist but are now much more open to hearing the gospel than ever before. This large team over two weeks will provide medical services, dental services and eyecare as well as spiritual care and will make presentations of the gospel. The ACS native team will provide translation and direct spiritual communication.  Note the brief video.
